Feds Writes Songs to Scare Off Immigrants

To deter Central American immigrants, the feds have a surprising tool in their arsenal: music. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has commissioned songs, like “La Bestia” (“The Beast”), to subliminally keep immigrants from attempting to cross the border. Caitlin Dickson reports that the government has funded popular Latin American songs to subtly instill emigration fears for the past decade, but music alone won’t solve the crisis.
